President Donald Trump lashed an all-caps tirade against Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday night, warning him never to threaten the U.S. — or else.
“NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!” Trump tweeted.

Trump’s tweet came hours after Rouhani warned Trump not to pursue a hostile policy toward Iran, saying that “war with Iran is the mother of all wars.”
“Do not play with the lion’s tail, because you will regret it eternally,” Rouhani said during a speech in Tehran, according to a CNN report[2].
The Trump administration has harshly criticized Iran, pulling out of the nuclear deal reached between Iran and the West, and is set to reimpose sanctions starting in November. Trump has also threatened to halt Iranian oil exports, which could cripple Iran’s economy.
In his comments, Rouhani left open the possibility of peace with the U.S. “America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace,” he said.
