The head of the Republican National Committee said the GOP is poised for victory in the 2018 midterm elections in part because of the the infighting among Democrats.

“The Democrats are more divided than ever,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel said at the party’s summer meeting in Austin, according to prepared remarks.

“Their party keeps moving farther and farther to the left,” she said. “They continue to push out-of-touch policies that will not only hurt their chances this year, but also hurt the American people.”

Ms. McDaniel said President Trump, meanwhile, has the economy humming through tax cuts and is keeping his campaign promise by “fighting for fair trade deals” and nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court....

“If we listed these accomplishments on a resume without putting President Trump’s name on it, even the most obstructionist Democrats would cheer!” Ms. McDaniel said. “We are in a remarkable season of growth, and President Trump keeps delivering.”
